Is all the wiring hidden and can you work the iPod from the steering wheel controls like you can in the FG Falcons?.

Re: iPod Adaptor's
i put the the MP3 player wire and booster in both my ute and B's XR8 ... it is the one that plugs into the loom and has a retractable lead under the tissue box holder. It plugs into the earphone socket of your MP3 player and then you hit the AM button twice to go into auxillary. you still use your mp3 player as normal but you control the volume through your stereo / strg wheel volume control. if you get one of these make sure you pay the extra and get the one with the booster .... you can get just the wire but it does not sound as good.
I dont use an i-Pod though ... i much prefer my Creative Zen player.

You can plug your PSP into it too and then play V8supercars with all the noise of the racetrack coming through your car speakers...

Re: iPod Adaptor's
You have to have the station perfect for it to sound good and its always different in every car.. I reckon it sounded better in the silver falcon.

Re: iPod Adaptor's
So it runs through the AM stations frequency then?. Sounds like it might be better to just stick to CD then.

Re: iPod Adaptor's
I use a Belkin one in the cig lighter with a FM transmitter for mine (iPhone) and it works fine. Quality is acceptable (you are in a car at the end of the day so you'll always have to put up with the roar of the V8 or whine of the Turbo) - steering wheel mounted volume controls work also.

No ... your getting yourself confused.FJ wrote:So it runs through the AM stations frequency then?. Sounds like it might be better to just stick to CD then.
The belkin one works on the FM frequency (i use one in my company car) they are acceptable quality - you would have to have a good ear to pick up any difference between that and FM radio.
When you use the hard wire type you push the AM button on your radio twice to get you into auxillary mode.

Much better sound from the hard wire the only downfall is that you cant swap them from car to car!

It has a long retractable cord so mine usually sits in the cup holder on the console.FJ wrote:That's alright though cos My farm truck has a Sony head unit in it with an auxiliary plug on it, So where do you plug your iPod in?....Does it sit in the tissue box or center arm rest?.

Must be long then, to get from "there" to the cup holder
S'pose that's why you have to "stand up" then.....
