Apparently it was quite a mooooooooving experience

and quite proabably a shitty ending

If you come to the track day Gav, bring a helmet with you and I'll show you what a real car goes like so you will have somthing to aspire too...
And then you can have a ride in CJ's car afterwards.
In fact I hope it pisses down too, as I like driving in the rain and it will be a lot kinder to my tyres and brakes too.

Looking at the news the weather up in the North Island doesn't look too good, hope the track day is still on. Its suppose to rain here too but nothing has come yet, Anna and the kids are off to the summer fair in town so looks like it will still be a good day for it.

It is crap here, started raining last night, still drizzly now, don't know if track day still on, but I am not going to find out

I just got back from Pukekohe and it was absolutely pissing down there.

180kph down the back straight with wipers on double speed while at the same
time the back end is skipping out on the surface water is even more fun than I thought it would be.....

Mind you, there was a Corprate Cab (Fairlane) doing over 200... with dodgy brakes too...

I left at lunch time as I had already had more than enough fun for one day....

Plus the fact that Gavin never showed up to cook me some sausages either...

It was great! Leon went home and took the rain with him. None all afternoon. Even took 4D4MUM out for a few (very few) laps before brake fade. Just cant beat those Brembos .
The only pussies that didnt turn up were a few Porsche owners, 3 HSV"s (fancy that) and a ute owner. Still i suppose hairdos would have been messed up this morning so best that they all stayed in bed. Only 1 ute on the track today. Some people just cant help themselves

Sounds like the day turned out sweet in the end, It would have been nice to have the HSV's there so you could have had a mini V8 Supercar race

Jenny and I had a blast (perhaps me slightly more than Jenny ) Was great fun trying to balance throttle versus grip in the trying conditions. Really enjoyed the drying track (after Leon left ) after lunch. The new brakes worked well in the wet. Still only managed 200kph down the back straight before we hit the 200m mark and had to slow down for the hairpin. A few cars slid off the end there trying to outdo the conditions. I managed to stay on the circuit all day and only had a few slidey scary moments.
