I just feel that unless Ford puts some serious muscle behind the remaining teams they will end up fading into obscurity. I am a frosty / FPR supporter but they are having a shocker season for a supposidly factory backed team and with the odds going to 2/3rds in favour of the general (20 H to 10 F) i for one am not going to spend my time and money hoping that someone will get a top 10 finish, I want MY side to win!

Maybe with TV3 giving the NZV8's same day coverage it will promote them into a more mainstream event, at present we know the results weeks before we get to see them which makes them not worth while viewing.
Just as well i'm going to Bathurst this year - might be the last one worth watching.

Come back Marcus please ....... we miss you!

What pissed me off this year was the introduction of the sprint tyre.Any race that had the sprint tyre in it i wouldn't watch the race till it was in the last 15-20 laps. IMHO it was only brought in to try and mix up 888 (and me) and try and bring the holden fans back, when that didn't work they bought 888. I bet they don't have it next year.I don't care if they do drop it anyway because i won't be watching 20 bombadores racing around (at the moment) and only 10 Fords.

Anyway, anyone know if we have enough cars left for the Giz ? Laughing

If Ford are getting away from building the XR8 and leaving it up to FPV to build the XR8 and maybe XR6T, then would Ford Oz be too concerned about supporting the V8's??. FPV will have more of an interest in the V8 Supercars now cos lets face it the XR badge is the biggest selling makes for Ford but if Ford aren't going to make them anymore then would they have any interest in the V8 Supercars????
