Re: FPV Drive Day
No one gets to thrash My car except Me.............But we can thrash Team Hutchies cars.
Last time I went to a FPV drive day they had it over 2 days cos there were so many cars and on the day I did it there were about 40 cars.
Best give out the forum address too.
Hutchies didn't even know I had the Cobra so they were inviting Me there just in case I was looking at buying an FPV, but once they heard I had the Cobra they asked if I would bring it with Me, I said......Like I would turn up in Anna's tezza??

Re: FPV Drive Day
What a fricken awesome day, I will post some photos in the gallery soon.
They had two track sessions today, one in the morning and one after lunch, I was in the morning session and I had the only cobra but another one turned up for the 2nd session, In my group there were 2 GT40ths there was one of only 2 302kw BF GT's too, there were a lot of FG GT's and F6's, 2 chicks pulled up in their own FG GT's too
One of FPV's general mangers Dave Mutt (Hope I got it right) was there too, he flew over to come to the event to show FPV's support to Team Hutch who are by far NZ's biggest and best FPV dealer, they have sold more FPV's than anyone else and their sales last year were up 227% and it showed. And there were no Dickford members which was good to see, (Not that big after all aye?).
I had a good long chat with Dave and he informed Me that the Cobra's that Frosty drove around Bathurst in were done up 290kw GT's and no one had changed the engine plate from 290 to 302 so once they finished their lap of Bathurst they put them on the truck and sent them home before anyone noticed, the reason being that the Cobra's weren't out when Bathurst was on and being a limited number they couldn't drive a customers car, it was the same dressed up GT that they used for the photo shoots too.
He also said that HSV were suppose to be making 427 models of their new W427 but they will only make 200 cos no one wants one.
I went for a couple of laps in an F6 Tezza which was just as fast as the F6 sedans, I asked Dave if the 310kw motor was going to go into the Tezza and he couldn't tell Me shit cos he's not allowed, but he did say that if the I6 motor plant closed down then FPV would only be a V8 car brand, he said the American V6 engine didn't have the power or torque that the I6 has and they weren't interested in having a F6 V6, so if they close the Geelong engine plant in 5yrs time then FPV wont make the F6 any more.
I'm a little bit tired from such a big day out, Team Hutch will post the photos on their website soon too so keep checking it from time to time, I got a cool prize for best driver of the day, judged by the instructors and they were in the car with Me too so I was wrapped

Your all just jealous
We weren't allowed to overtake and I had to keep slowing down for that green FG F6 Ute, I kept catching up to it, I thought those F6's were suppose to be fast.

The damn thing was pretty fast, I said to Anna, time for her to trade her Tezza in. But the Tezza wouldn't go sideways.

Yeah Sam............$125 is cheap as, does it include a feed too?
Team Hutch put on a good feed too, it was all free the whole day cost Me nothing, they had most of their employees running around working, I feel sorry for one of their Customer Relationship Manager she worked in the kitchen and BBQ all day, but it was a fricken good feed though.
