Holden Racing Team (HRT) has confirmed suspicions that Will Davison will drive the team in 2009.
Davison has moved from Jim Beam Racing, where he spent three seasons and won the Eastern Creek round last year.
HRT unveiled its latest addition to the team along with the 2009 livery at Holden’s Port Melbourne building this morning (Wednesday).
The #2 Commodore, which was in the hands of Mark Skaife until his retirement last year, has been transferred to Garth Tander while Davison will run the second Commodore with the number 22.
Davison said it was a wonderful honour to drive for HRT.
“It is the absolute highlight of my career to date,” Davison said.
“HRT is the elite motorsport outfit in Australia and the team every young driver wants to join.
“It is renown for its professionalism and has a proud track record…I can’t wait to be a part of that.”
